Educational programme in interactive whiteboards “Jíme zdravě a s chutí”

Food Safety Information Centre has created a new training programme for primary school pupils.

Food Safety Information Centre of the Ministry of Agriculture has created a new tutorial to interactive whiteboards “Jíme zdravě a s chutí” which is aimed at primary school pupils and teachers. The programme is divided into several separate modules so as to be the most usable in practice for the teachers´ actual needs. Interactive exercises in the particular modules are complemented by the activity workbook for primary school children “Jíme zdravě a s chutí”.

The tutorial is partly based on recommendations of the World Health Organization (WHO) “Five Keys to Safe Food.” It covers topics of healthy nutrition and hygiene in food handling and it introduces the agricultural issue in a playful way. The tutorial also includes a short instructional videos, interactive competitions, games and fun testing of the gained knowledge.

Each teacher has the opportunity to choose either an entire program or just individual modules to his teaching: Movement, Digestive System, Teeth, Water intake, Nutrition, Healthy lunch, Healthy plate, Food origin – animals (Poultry, Rabbits, Cows, Sheep, Pigs, Processing milk), Food origin – plants (Plants, Fruit and Vegetables), Bacteria, Fungi, Food handling, What have you learned, Play, Fruit and Vegetables – practicing.
