Warning for consumers: two lots of poultry meat from abroad with salmonella on the market
The Czech Agriculture and Food Inspection Authority (CAFIA) warns consumers of two lots of unsafe foodstuffs on the market:
GOOSE BREAST WITH SKIN AND BONE, deep frozen, veterinary oval: HU332EK, best before date: 30.09.2025, producer: TRANZIT-FOOD KFT, H4362 NYÍRGELSE, DEBRECENI UT 1, Hungary, country of origin: Hungary.
Laboratory analysis confirmed presence of the pathogenic serotype of Salmonella Agona and Salmonella Newport in this food lot. The foodstuff in question is usnafe. CAFIA inspectors took the sample at the premises of Kaufland Česká republika v.o.s.
VALDOR Duck meat without offal, chilled, quality class A, veterinary oval: HU 110 EK, lot: L 210090103, use by date: 21.10.2023, producer: Hungerit Zrt. H-6600 Szentes, Attila út 2, Hungary, country of origin: Hungary.
Laboratory analysis confirmed presence of the pathogenic Salmonella Anatum serotype in this food lot as well. The food is therefore unsafe. The sample was taken at the premises of Albert Česká republika, s.r.o.
CAFIA strongly recommends all consumers who have the food lots in question at home (frozen) that they do not consume them.
CAFIA ordered to withdraw the non-compliant lots from the market.
Notifications of the findings were entered into the European Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF) so that the case could be investigated in the country of origin.
The foodstuffs were sampled within an extraordinary microbiological inspection.
CAFIA will initiate an administrative procedure to impose a fine on the persons inspected.
